New Oracle R12 Feature: Changes to the Oracle Home Page in 12.1.3
By Jag - August 02, 2012
The first thing you will notice in the latest release of Oracle’s E-Business Suite (12.1.3) is the new home page. This page now contains a hierarchical menu that mimics the one used in the Java application. The menu expands to display sub-menus and functions when clicked. This will save you having to scroll the entire page to find your function. These functions are either web pages or Java forms. You can tell the difference by the icon. The icon opens a web page and the icon opens a Java form.
Another change is the ability to access this hierarchical menu from application web pages. If you open a web page, you will now see a Navigator icon on the top of the page. This allows you to access other web pages or Java forms direct from any web page. This removes the need to go back to the home page to access other functions.
